POSITION DESCRIPTION

Certis is seeking an engaging, influential and achievement-oriented Director, Oncology Market Development to help build our brand in the cancer care landscape. Our approach to precision oncology utilizes Orthotopic Patient-derived Xenograft (O-PDX) models to inform patient treatment plans, particularly for the many whose cancer does not respond to Standard of Care therapies. We seek a proven leader who can evangelize our approach and our mission, and who can establish referral relationships with leading concierge care organizations, academic and medical research institutions, and clinical leaders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful individual will develop a Go-to-Market strategy that incorporates four specialized components: Market Intelligence, Expansion of Patient Services, Collaborative Studies and Clinical Affairs. Certis' seeks to expand the utilization of our CLIA license and Patient Services platform into meaningful use throughout the United States, to propel improvement in Patient Care, as well as the advancement of cancer research. The successful individual will:

  • Balance a thoughtful strategic market development vision with the practical implementation and execution of tactical plans as an individual contributor
  • Develop clinical and collaborative relationships that help Certis challenge the status quo and demonstrate the clinical case for specialized in vivo testing as part of treatment strategy
  • Develop, structure, negotiate and execute new alliances with strategic partner organizations
  • Collaborate with leadership and partner decision-makers to explore, frame, and operationalize strategies that will benefit patients and advance organizational goals
  • Maintain a deep and current understanding of the competitive/market landscape

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in scientific field preferred
  • At least 5 years of business development experience in health care setting, building executive-level relationships
  • Knowledge in oncology, immunology and/or translational medicine
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems
  • Solid Microsoft Office Skills
  • Willing to travel up to 25%
